Not sure which platform fits your business, or where to even start?

What is web consultancy?

Web consultancy is a chance to step back and plan properly before you spend money on a new website.

Rather than jumping straight into design or development, we sit down with you to look at your business, your goals, and your options - so whatever you build next is the right fit, not just the first idea that came up.

For businesses, this usually means working out which platform suits you (WordPress, PayloadCMS, a custom build, or something simpler), how your site should handle growth, and which integrations or automations are actually worth having versus which ones just add complexity.

It's a bit like getting a second opinion before a big decision - practical, straightforward, and focused on saving you time and money down the line.

From first chat to a clear plan

We keep things simple and pressure-free. Here's what to expect from when you first get in touch to the point you have a clear, practical plan in hand.

We start with a relaxed conversation about your business, your current website (if you have one), and what might be or not be working. Whether that session is in person where we can meet for coffee & cake or virtual, where you can bring your own snacks & beverage of choice - we make it work for everyone.

We look at the realistic platform and approach options for your specific situation, not a one-size-fits-all recommendation.

You receive a clear, practical breakdown of our recommendations, so you've got something to refer back to or share with your team.

If you want to move forward with a build, we can talk about that; if not, you walk away with a clear plan regardless.

Where we can help

Every business is different, so here's a flavour of the kind of thing we help clients work through before they commit to anything.

Platform selection

Working out whether WordPress, a headless CMS, or a custom build makes the most sense for your business, budget, and technical comfort level.

Growth & content planning

Making sure your site can grow with you, without needing a rebuild every time you add a product line or service.

Integrations & automations

Practical recommendations on tools that genuinely save you time (booking systems, CRMs, email marketing), rather than bolting on everything available.

Technical best practices

Steering you away from common pitfalls in performance, security, and structure that cause headaches later.

Independent, no-obligation advice

You don't have to book a build with us afterwards; sometimes consultancy is all you need.

FAQs

Here are some honest answers to the questions we hear most.

No. Although we would love for you too - consultancy stands on its own. Plenty of clients come to us just for advice and go on to build with someone else, or in-house.

Yes - this is often where it's most useful. If your current site isn't performing, or you're planning a redesign, we can help you figure out what to change and why before committing to anything.

Mostly WordPress, WooCommerce, Next.js and PayloadCMS, since these cover the vast majority of small and growing businesses. We'll always recommend what suits you, not what we prefer to build.

It depends on the complexity of your business and goals, but most initial conversations we allow up to 1 hour, with a written summary to follow. We are also open to extending where required and scheduling follow up sessions for the best outcome.

Not at all - we work with clients across the UK. Being Norwich-based just means we're happy to meet in person locally if that's easier. The added bonus for being local is the enjoyment of coffee & cake too!
